I’m Ben Salus, an actor & theatre artist originally from Philadelphia.
Currently, I live in Harlem and am about to play Kyle in Handstand at the Gene Frankel Theatre.
I recently finished playing Bradley in Cabin Pressure at Brooklyn Center for Theatre Research - with an upcoming developmental reading in May.
Before that, I was in The Bridges of Madison County at The New London Barn Playhouse, playing Richard “Bud” Johnson and I ended an almost one year run as Macbeth in Drunk Shakespeare Off-Broadway.
My new play, PERSONAL TRAINING, is headed for an industry reading in the fall, along with a developmental workshop this winter.
I graduated from Boston University with my BFA in Theatre Arts. I also have a diploma in Classical Acting from LAMDA.
In my spare time, I have worked as both as an Executive & Producer’s Assistant for Andrew Sorkin (Too Big to Fail; Billions) and as a Coordinator for Billion Oyster Project (501c3). I’ve also worked with children all over New York City - from the Arts, to Sports, Tutoring/Mentoring, even as a live-in nanny/manny.
In my spare time I cook cross-cultural dishes, argue about Philly sports, and Citibike everywhere I can (helmet: on).
