I’m Ben Salus, an actor & theatre artist originally from Philadelphia.
I will be behind the table working on THE PASS, by John Donnelly at La Mama. In an inital foray into producing, I’ll be working as the Creative Producer for the production, handling partnerships for sponsors and working with the team as the Assistant Director as well. The show runs from late July through mid-September.
My new play, PERSONAL TRAINING, is headed for an industry reading in the fall.
I just finished my run as Kyle in Handstand at the Gene Frankel Theatre. I played Bradley in Cabin Pressure at Brooklyn Center for Theatre Research - with an upcoming developmental reading in the works.
Before that, I was in The Bridges of Madison County at The New London Barn Playhouse, playing Richard “Bud” Johnson and I ended an almost one year run as Macbeth in Drunk Shakespeare Off-Broadway.
I graduated from Boston University with my BFA in Theatre Arts. I also have a diploma in Classical Acting from LAMDA.
In my spare time, I have worked as both as an Executive & Producer’s Assistant for Andrew Sorkin (Too Big to Fail; Billions) and as a Coordinator for Billion Oyster Project (501c3). I’ve also worked with children all over New York City - from the Arts, to Sports, Tutoring/Mentoring, even as a live-in nanny/manny.
In my spare time I cook cross-cultural dishes, argue about Philly sports, and Citibike everywhere I can (helmet: on).
